If you are is interested in doing a group ride on zwift, it isn't too difficult. There are a couple of methods, including just agreeing with someone to meet at a certain time and place, but there is a meetup feature that I've participated in. You do have to be linked to friends and I think you need the phone companion app to do it. You follow each other, then someone creates a meetup from the Events section of the phone app. You can even make it a no-drop ride and Zwift will keep you together no matter how much power you are putting out - though you do need to keep pedaling. It helps to be able to pedal and type at the same time so you can chat. I assume the phone mic would work with the app but I haven't used that yet.
I do a JRA ride on Zwift at least once/week in these winter months because it is astonishing how much less boring it is than just spinning on a trainer. If anyone wants to follow me, just search for Darryl Mataya in the app. Maybe there is a way to start a CV group, haven't looked at that.
