Not if your Canadian.
I know where you are coming from, but in my world, Ebay is the very best place to find what I need. Sadly, there are issues with dealing through Ebay. That said, I still look for what I need almost every day, focusing on the Bicycles/Vintage Bicycles category. Of course, I could well be wrong about this. If so, where is the best place for a Canadian to buy vintage bike parts, other than through Bike Forums, of course?

mtbr.com has an incredibly active "vintage mtb forum"

A donar bike might be a thought. Mtb's are still relatively cheap.
