Unbelievable! Dude, if you'd take like even ten seconds out of your life to do an internet search, you'd see that it's spelled "Bianchi."

Doesn't matter, when you're "selling" a bike parked in public randomly chosen to photograph.

I thought so too at first, but they get the size about right, and that bike does look like it just got a new set of cheap tires. I really don't know.

I bought a bike to flip today. Sorry, just had to confess. I feel so dirty. I pretended I wanted it for myself and everything. Bad me.

Today I went to see a bike, the seller told me he removes all the front derailleurs because they get stuck. Also thought that the crack crossing the inner and outer head tube lug was fine. People sure are weird.

1959 Schwinn Racer 3-Speed 26" conversion bike in good used condition. Original paint looks good with new tires, brake pads, cables and housings, high rise handlebars, banana seat, and shocks. Rides, shifts and brakes nicely. Very nice looking and riding vintage Schwinn bike.

^^^^^^ Actually, that would be a cool "Sting Ray for grownups", if it weren't for the ('wuh-wuh-wuhhhhhhh") step-through frame.

Thanks for caring. No, different bike! I am local. I'm in Brooklyn, but a search for "Bianche" on Craigslist comes up empty now so I think we lost our chance to get to the bottom of the mystery. As far as reselling the bike I bought, I'm nervous now that I will be outed:

I hope this guy never finds out about mortgage backed securities.

Saw your initial reply, your joke was funny and good. I also saw s different irony when others commented on your spelling citation. As for inflicting this thread:

With a little more care with component choices, this could be an attractive alt-bike. Could a Fuji sports 10 hope for a better outcome?

I actually like that Sting Racer for some reason. I remember my Stingray knockoff from when I was a kid. I would sit on the seat and swing my legs to the side in front to get off, so a stepthrough frame makes sense.

I say it's a crashed and repaired bike, looking to get turned into a tourer or cross bike, with the new canti posts. They wouldn't make the effort to tear up the decal and leave the front end looking like that.

T

Unless the MOKAN area was inundated with Patron Tequila-branded BikeID-duospeeds, this very bike was on craigslist a couple years ago for the (comparatively) paltry sum of $150: https://lawrence.craigslist.org/bik/...141900108.html.
pre-p.s.- no, there are no drive-side shots.

Listen, it's neat: two-speed SRAM Automatix hub, decent components, very nice grips and saddle (and if I remember the original ad correctly, good rims and tires)... and I have to say I have a minor weakness for that [Anaheim pepper and lime...? what would you call it, plz?] green... but $750 is laughable for a dangle-it-from-the-rafters liquor store bike.

^^^^^ Something just occurred to me. How much you wanna bet the seller plugged "Peugeot" and the serial number in, and a blue book value for some random Peugeot CAR, for $2500, came up? I wouldn't put it past a sufficiently clueless seller to depend on such "research".
