Truing Stand...

It's obviously not a bike, but I'm wondering what would be a fair price on this truing stand.
It looks like an older version, and includes the TM-1 tension meter.
Thanks!

That's the original Park TS-2 with accessory tray and tensiometer.

About $150 for the stand and tray. Another $50 for the tensiometer - new they're around $80.

Do you have another stand you are keeping? A truing stand is a must have, same with the tensiometer.

it is late enough to be fine

for years and years Park advertised the truing stand to be repeatable and self-centring but it was not due to play in the arms

people learned to do little tweaks such as putting brass washers on the bolts the arms moved on to get rid of the maddening play

this example late enough that that problem not an issue

I would definitely sell the tensiometer separately. $100 for the truing stand with base, maybe $125.

Thanks, everybody, those ranges are what I was thinking.
I'm pondering buying it, but it's a 3 hour drive away...

Buying different than selling. I would be comfortable at $150, considering the drive. Maybe $175 if the condition was really good, and the card for the Tension meter and spoke guage are still there.

That is an early stand, but parts are still available. Take a wheel that you know is true and dished properly to check the stand. Use that for negotiation. A Park stand can be brought back into true, if nothing is broken.

Is that a 3hr drive each way? I bought a new stand for 200.00 a new base for 40 and a NOS wheelsmith tensionmeter for 50.00; I'm not certain that a 140.00 savings would be worth a 6hr round trip once gas, lunch, coffee, and in my case tolls were added in. 3 hrs round trip I'd look for a gravel or MTB ride nearby and use it as an excuse to make the trip worth it.
