Nice. No real mention of connecting that last couple hundred vacant yards between Mt. Elliot part and the Belle Isle Bridge...

Glad to see this. I worked in downtown "D" for many years before my job took me out to New Hudson. While down town I envied the Windsor waterfront, lots of green whereas the Detroit side was pretty crappy.

The TV news has just shown an interview with the Riverfront Conservancy. In fact, a connection will be made along the river at the old US Rubber property from Mt Elliot to Gabriel Richard park. From what I've seen reports construction won't start until this fall. There wasn't any estimates on the projects completion. My guess is it may be open for the summer of 2019(just because of the way things work out).
It puzzles me as to why they wouldn't begin work within the next two months. Better weather more progress.
