56cm Trek 930 Columbus Frameset

Well guys, I would keep this if it was 2-4cm bigger. 56cm '79 Trek 930 frame and fork, Columbus tubing. Factory optional braze-ons for all cable guides & bottle bosses. I wanted to offer it to you guys first, before listing it on ePay. Fresh cobalt blue powdercoat with factory-style decals in 1-mil UV-resistant substrate. Color is very close to what was original, but with a purple pearl clear. It shifts from brilliant sapphire to violet, depending on the lighting and viewing angle. Color is dazzling in direct sunlight. Your chance to own one of the rare ones! $650 shipped, anywhere in the continental US. Let me know if you have any questions, or want to see another view/feature other than what I've included.

Do you have that one listed in the "Frame Won't Fit" thread?

Saw this a few hours ago and had serious thoughts. Front and rear fender eyelits? Yes, yes.

I was just lamenting at my 710 that I just got has a cracked brazing on the seat stay. Been looking for a 1979 as my "Birthday Trek" I recognized this from other posts and just had to jump on it ASAP!

Lovely frame; it looks a lot like my 1978 Trek TX 900. I had it repainted by Groody Brothers in Kansas City; they do nice work as well.

High end Treks tend to show up on the local Des Moines CL if you're patient. I've had good luck.

At first I thought the price was high, but realistically, for a beautiful frame of high quality, and for a "lifetime" rider, I think it's a good price. It's done, it's ready, it's tough, it's pretty, and many miles are simply waiting to be done. Excellent.

If you like this one, you may also like the '89 IM I had him do in the same color. Pics of that soon.
