Has anyone tried these Repro Campy Brake Hoods?
Looks like pretty sloppy casting flash, but only in the $20 range. On ebay and elsewhere, from Serbia.

Different Seller?
I'm almost positive that I got these from Serbia; maybe a different seller? I wanted the "Globe" logo to replace the originals. Mine look a little more translucent than the ones you posted. These have a very original feel to them - (if memory serves me; the old ones kind of turned to plastic in the end). I just kept looking until I found these. They weren't always posted.

Im in a bad mood 'cause I just ripped my Campy hoods 5 minutes ago, so once again you guys saved my a$$. Anybody have on and off tips for next time?

Don't try to remove them unless they are new and supple....
Seriously, sorry about your mishap. I'm sticking to the supple part though so maybe next time try to heat them up to make them a bit more pliable first. But honestly, we all get old and stiff as we age.

Actually what I did was squeeze the lever WAY down, so i could unclip the brake cables and save $3. Moving the levers WAY down ripped them and costs me $50.

For me this Serbia repops are translucent like the ones first pictured. Not bad for the price but id like some that are more solid.

I thought dia-compe (or someone) made a non-aero hood that was like a perfect match for campy of that era that were pretty available. Probably cheaper unless the campy logo is important.

If you're thinking of vintage brake hoods, Modolo 920 (almost exactly like Campagnolo) and 919 (anatomic) still turn up on eBay frequently.

I just bought a set of speedy levers, to get the hoods... go figure.If you can stand the colors, someone in Canada has orig AME 919 anatomical replacement hoods. Good prices, but a big if about the colors.
I was considering trying to dye or paint them.

I agree what's advertised at the moment is a bit spendy, but recent sales show more reasonable prices:

I’ve had Rustines on my ‘77 Colnago Super for the past 4 years when I did the refurb. They still look great and probably a bit better with the slight aging. Very nice.
