Hello from London, UK
Hello. I am starting to tinker around with bike mechanics, and have been finding this forum really helpful when I've been searching for answers. It is reassuring to see so many people with the same kinds of questions I do.
I've done a few very basic cycle maintenance courses, and volunteer at a charity which refurbishes bikes for refugees and asylum seekers - but I'm still very much a newbie when it comes to doing any kind of mechanics. Cycling's my primary mode of transport. I have a Brompton and a Bobbin which I use to get around.
I have recently bought a vintage Dawes road bike, and am slowly replacing parts to modernise it.
Nice to meet you all.

Welcome to the forums! I'm in Seattle, WA, USA, but have family just up the road from you in Burnham. Do you get out to ride in the English countryside?

Sorry for the slow reply. I don't ride out in the countryside much. I'm mostly a functional cyclist (as in it's my mode of transport rather than anything else), but I'm starting to do slightly longer trips so you never know - I might pop to Burnham one day!
