Alfine 8 outer receiver unit

So here’s the dilemma: apparently the outer receiver unit for the SG-S7001 Alfine 8 is no longer produced. It’s that little noodle looking doofer that the housing end goes into and which slides into the cassette joint arm.

This is a problem, since the cassette joint can’t accept cable housing without that little part. So I can buy the hub, and all the small parts except that piece of rubber, therefore buying a bunch of useless junk.

Anyone know where to source this? I’ve been looking.

Will the Alfine 11 outer receiver unit work?

Sorry but.... You may get better responses with a picture, I see no part that is called an "outer receiver unit"

I think what you are looking for comes as part of the shifter/cable assembly, not the small parts kit.

I believe you called it. The cable installation part of the manual calls it the outer casing holder. Some cassette joints use a "fair weather" version that doesn't include the rubber bellows but either one should function.
