Don't spend too much money on your race rig. Race fees are what kill you. $25 every week adds up really really quick.

Thanks man, I love it. The wheels are just a cheap set I picked up used. I want a 735, but I'm waiting to see if that Undefeated 735 is going to be the new 735 frame design.

Mash and Dosnoventa both did this at that big NY crit race (and made videos) except the bikes they used are just the standard off the rack models. Dosnoventa's was actually quite funny.
True, some JA will buy one of their trrrble bikes because they saw it was raced by some other JA.

At least Cinelli has the racing history and Mash isn't designing totally JA bikes. I cannot say much about Dosnoventa other than I don't see them on the streaaats ridden by anyone so maybe they are slightly better or they suck but are expensive?

Awesome. Looks like the same style seat tube and post as the Undefeated 735 racing concept.

Can't wait until those new designs are available for sale, I'm getting a new 735.

Women typically have wider sitbone spacing than men, and there are saddles specifically made for women that should be more comfortable for you. I'll repeat my request for another photo from the drive side (chain side).

Yes, we would like to see your bike as it is now. A photo from the front would also be nice.

Also, slightly off-topic but riding without your phone on you doesn't seem like a good idea. It's always good to have in case of an emergency.

Ask Leader themselves or a dealer of theirs.

Bump. The Leader brand died a long time ago, but there are still a few samples in use. I still have my Cretin and 721tr, and ride them frequently. I recently upgraded the grips on my Cretin from Ourys to ESI Chunky with Fyxation bar caps. The Cretin gets a lot of love from kids in my hood.

Nice 721 sir. I really miss my 722. It was by far the prettiest, favorite frame set I’ve ever had. I look on Craig’s / eBay for another almost daily 😢

Thanks, except that is my Cretin that is shown above. I have posted my 721tr previously, but will post it again for your benefit.

Leader is back !

I just got an email from Leader Bikes saying that they are back in business under new ownership and management, and are selling new versions of the 735, 725 and 721. The 735 and 725 are supplied with a carbon aero seatpost and a redesigned seatpost clamp that hopefully solves the frame cracking problems that occurred with the old design. All models feature tapered headtubes, and a full carbon fork with a tapered steerer tube is also available.

As to who these new folks are or if they are legit, I have no knowledge whatsoever, but just wanted to pass this info on to anyone who might be interested.

Kinda weird geometry with the 725 and 735. Really tight spread of measurements across their size range when it comes to TT length -- kinda cool if you want micro-adjustments in fit I guess, but also means you're SOL if you need a TT shorter than 545mm. 721 looks to be a more normal-ish spread of sizes. Anyway, not my cup of tea but if they're making good products this time around, wish them the best.

Perhaps their primary customer base is gorillas.

Cleaning pearlescent matte blue paint

Zombie thread resurrection, my bad. Planning to finally build my 2013 leader 725 that has been getting dusty for 6 years. It's gotten dirty from dust and even after washing with soap and scrubbing with a sponge the mystery stains aren't disappearing. Can anyone give some advice? How do you properly restore the pearlescent matte paint on these things?

I can hear your seatpost creaking already, and you haven't even installed it yet.
