A decent stretch of 12% grade and 3" rocks after 10 miles and 2000 feet climbing.

Decided to stretch my legs a bit and got more out of breath walking than I did riding.

Figured I better put on some pics for once. This was Monday's ride. Rode gravel about 17 miles to Whiterock Conservancy and then took a couple mtb singletrack trails up in to the hills, and then made my back home via a little highway (and tractor pulls lol) and the endless 8-11% gravel rollers. ~51 miles and my legs still hurt :/ pretty awesome morning tho!

We recently had a serious microburst here. One my local favorite woods roads had a bunch of trees downed. Still a nice ride.

Have to admit gravel is much more difficult than tarmac... usual tarmac ride is 40-50mi. That said, I was on my MTB, since I don't have my Gravel bike...yet!

'Only' 35 miles with 4K of climbing. And it was your first gravel ride? And it was on a mtb? Yeah, there's nothing 'only' about that. Great start

I need to go. It seems like that area is packed with a lot of beauty. Maybe I can make a week of it.

Somewhere south of Issaquah. First rainy ride of the season. I hoped this went through, but it didn't.

Pony Express 120 Gravel Dash in Marysville, KS this past weekend. 125 miles actually, 7000+ feet of climbing (according to my wahoo). 6th place in the men's open, 8:47 total time. Didn't really feel great all day but it was a fun, challenging course with that was much tougher than it looked on paper.

Also, was glad that my Simpsons pink donut jersey arrived in time for the ride

PS I grabbed these shots from the Pony Express Gravel Dash facebook page -- photo credit is watermarked on the shots. I'll purchase them once I get purchase info.

I would highly recommend it. I'd even go out for a ride with you (except I'm a lot slower than I think you are. or something )

Oh... and do it soon, before the beetle kill reaches here. You dont have long.
