I know the Kilo tt has decals under the clear coat, so i assume that the chrome version (I’m actually looking at the chrome wt, not the tt) also has clear coat. But chrome on its own is hard right? So could I chemically remove the clear coat and still maintain the benefits of chrome (appearance and durability). Or am I off base here? Will chemical stripper damage the chrome?

my searching has turned up a discussion about a chrome pista, but nothing about the Kilo chrome.
