lower vastus lateralis pain
so, i hadn't really biked in more than ten years until i bought a hybrid in august. i started commuting to and from work (a 5 mile round trip) and worked up to regularly riding 25 miles (painful at first, then just a good workout). last weekend i did 40 and felt fine afterward, if a little tired, but every time i've gotten on the bike this week i've felt a pain in my lower right vastus lateralis. it might just be normal soreness, but it's very localized. definitely an overuse thing, but does it seem like it would be okay to ride through it? i did a quick 20 mile jaunt yesterday and although there was some pain it didn't get any worse.

Look up ITB (Iliotibial Band Syndrome), especially as it relates to cycling.
