I don't buy it.
Due to rain, I'm skipping Ontario today. Really, all I'm skipping is cornering hard, I'm gonna put myself through a 3hr road ride instead.

I was the only one this morning in the group wearing arm/knee warmers. Hovering around 50f the whole time, easy spin Z2 for two hours to the hipster donut shop.
My reward was The Bear Donut: sour cream donut filled with sweetened peanut butter, topped with bbq sauce, bacon, smoked gouda, and ******* jacks

Week total was about 12.5 hours, 235 miles, 850 TSS.

7 hours, 120 miles, 332 TSS.
Rode to Fremont, did the 2nd Early Bird Crit (8th of 44), rode back, then joined Eric Wohlberg's 50th b-day ride. Got in a good 20' threshold 95 miles in. That hurt. Now to clean up and ride easy to join everyone for a huge meal.
I now feel old... because I don't think of Eric as old, and he's 50. (I'm 30)

Went out for a second ride today because I felt guilty about the donut I had this morning. Focused on cadence and averaged about 100rpm with high power.

I took a rest week (well, 5 days). CTL dropped 7 points. It's all fine.
I'm bad at losing weight, always have been. I just love, love, love to eat in a way that I think many people don't. Not an excuse, just the way it is. I think part of it is genetic, my dad and my kids are both the same way. Everybody comments on how much my kids eat -- they are all fit, because they are very active, but they eat 2-3x more than their peers, and they love to eat. Expending a lot of energy toward diet control keeps me normal-person thin (5'9 155), but I've never been bike-racer thin.
The past few months I've been doing some low-key weight training in addition to my usual efforts to lose weight. The result has been that my weight is the same, but clearly more muscle and lower body fat -- lots of veins that have never been there before. I'll continue trying to lose weight, as I always do, but if the end result is that I race at the same weight as previous years but stronger, I'll be curious to see how it pans out.

Being bike racer thin sucks, you don't want to go there. I watch numbers too much and it gets frustrating when you eat something you really wanted and then have to cover that later.
One thing that always gets me is my hydration habit which is drinking a lot of water in the afternoon, generally 80% of my daily consumption comes after 3pm. Because I'm drinking a half gallon of water in the five hours before bed, I'll go to sleep weighing 5-6lb more than when I wake up the next morning.

I respectfully disagree, you get to your weight basement and weight becomes another variable you can play around with and actively control. I've experimented with active weight loss and all that crap and it seems like at 6'2'' 156lbs is about my limit as far as getting light goes, as trying to get below that has yielded nothing of worth. So now that I know that's as low as I really should go, it means I know I can get away with gaining a pound or two during a rest week as prep work for the next block and I don't have to sweat it, I know about what weight range I should be in the AM and set myself a minimum weight limit to hit before I go to bed, and I stress less about calorie counting and instead aim to continue eating healthy. Knowing you're as skinny as you can get without removing vestigial organs takes a lot of the stress out of dieting and meal planning.
**** that

I'm the same, a majority of my water intake comes in the evening/night. I wake up to pee way too much.

I was going to ToAD last year but crashed at Exeter and chickened out racing so far from home with my kid.
Perhaps this year.

The last two weeks I had a TSS of 891 on just under 11 hours and 883 on just under 12 hours. Per Strava(HR & Power) my form was -25 after Sat ride.

Next you'll all wear compression tights at home and spend too much time aggressively self-massaging with the r8!

All I know is @mattm is now attacking off the front in the first half of races and then winning the sprint at the end. All after incorporating active rest!
