Speaking of food, I have a bit of a dilemma on my hands today. A vendor at work is supplying lunch, but I know that it's going to be straight up southern, deep fried goodness. Not really sure if it's a good idea with the ride tomorrow. I'm not afraid of offending anyone if I decide to decline the lunch, but it's also delicious and I want it.

I’ve gone this route. When I was in college I was really hardcore into body building. Kept track of everything and it was really exhausting.
When it comes to food I try to just make the best choice for any situation that I am in, and to not over eat.
I try to do some form of activity everyday. Cycling is the goal. Lifting weights comes in second. I count my steps, so 12,000 comes next. And if none of those happen, Hopefully I did something productive that day.

Vain, But Lacking Talent
I'm not so much worried about overeating in this situation. I'm more worried about how the greasy stuff is going to sit with me going through tomorrow morning.

Understand, but eating healthy vs wanting some deep fried goodness, is the start of a good path to be on. If you think the food is so ~bad~ as to mess with your ride tomorrow, you have to ask how ~good~ it really is.

Both of the kids ordered chocolate chip pancakes at First Watch this morning. Neither finished, so I got in my RDA of butter and syrup.

I'm not worried about how the grease will affect my ride home luckily. I've lots of practice riding on grease.

You gotta have a cheat day, but once on a fairly decent path, you find your cheat days are pretty cool. Once you leave the artery clogging stuff behind, you will appreciate a nice slab of cake, or pancakes with butter and maple syrup everywhere... The rest of the week, you'll be all over the salad and white meat type stuff of some kind.

I had waffles this morning. At home. Butter and maple syrup. I am not averse to mixing heated, frozen berries into the syrup.
The wife is heading to Belize tomorrow, and asked for a set of blocks for our friend's litle boy. I Put the crosscut sled on the tablesaw and popped them out. To sand them I dug out some sanding discs I inherited from my dad. The kind that go on a rubber disc fastened to the drill. Looking for the grit number I noticed a thing that blew my mind. Made In Norway. Norway. High quality stuff. I sanded steadily for an hour and the initial 120 disc is ready for more. I pushed the button to allow the drill to run continuously, and now can't get it to release. Drat
