Advice on managing brake cable on single speed (Aventon Cordoba)

Hi,

Dumb question here. I put on rear brakes on my single speed (Aventon Cordoba) and the brake cable is currently held to the top tube via three zip ties, which is an eye-sore. I'd like to use a cable housing clamp instead of zip ties. Problem is, my top tube diameter is about 35.4 mm and I've had no luck finding a cable housing clamp that fits that. It seems that the available size for cable clamps is 1 1/8" (28.6 mm) or 31.8 mm. The other option I saw is to use adhesive cable guides but worried about how strong this will be.

Anyone else have experience with managing their brake cable on a thicker top tube such as mine? Any advice would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

On my cordoba(which is black), I ended up using electrical tape in two places, barely noticeable and works quite well.

Plenty of 34.9mm cable clamps out there. Problem is, they all appear to be in China. Under 2 bucks each shipped, though (~$7 shipped for a pack of four.)

Get a new bike that is designed for brakes. Problem solved.Steel is real, TI is fly and aluminum and carbon just simply don't rhyme and must be counted out.

I am going to be in on this soon with my Mataro. I initially was just thinking electrical tape would be cleanest...

I've been using adhesive cable guides for a few months now and they are holding fast. When I installed them I held them down with zip ties for 24 hours.
