Should I buy a bike now?
Hello,
I live in Canada, so only a month of summer/autumn left before I would have to put the bike away. My question is, should I buy the bike now or wait until next spring/summer?
I'm interested in Roam 2 which is currently selling for $670. 2016 model is going up in price to $760. Price increase isn't crazy but just thinking if from a tune up / maintenance point of view, does it make sense to keep it in storage after a months use or wait spring 2016?
Thoughts?
Thanks!

Paying $760 in the spring is like paying the bike shop $90 to store the bike over the winter for you.

There are no tune-up or maintenance issues that I can think of. For a $90 difference, I might let paint color sway me and either wait or not wait depending upon my preference for this year's or next year's color scheme. Hey, buy now and you can enjoy this last month of the season. I'm by Lake Superior myself, and September is sometimes the best month of summer. Cooler temps. Still sunny out. Few to no bugs.

Yeah that sux, winter is approaching so FAST!!!
I just got a bike and was considering waiting also, but now that I have it I have used it every day since so it was worth it. I say just go for it.
Are you looking online? I am amazed at how cheep you can get stuff online, in NYC the bike stores understandably need to make huge money to pay rent so their prices are very high. I saved a lot buying online.

Life is short, buy the bike. You could get a wind trainer and put a cheap slick on the back wheel for the winter.

The Roam 2 specs appear to be the same for 2015 & 2016. As stated above, I'd get one in a color I liked. If you like the 2015 colors that are available I'd definitely get one now and save the 90 smackers.
I have an older Roam 2. It's a fun bike. I've put more miles on it than I have any of my other bikes this summer.

I'd buy it now. If you are really hard core, you could buy some studded tires and bike through most of the winter.
