Flaps winner!!!!

While some of you were agreeing to disagree about the benefits of owning a LeMonde or even a Volvo an unannounced contest was held. Some of you younguns may not remember these, but every now and again, Maxx decides to hold an unnanounced contest.

Naturally, the contest is not announced.............I don't want to be besieged by dozens of entries into something that may not even be happening.

The methods used to determine the contest winner are also unannounced as this protects me from claims of unfairness. It is possible that the methods are unfair, but since they are unannounced, that will be difficult to proove.

It turns out that a relative newcomer to our group who goes by the name "Dit" has won the contest and is the proud new owner of a Zoom adjustable stem for an MTB. I believe that he has already been credited with the appropriate "Flaps" by others so without further ado, lets hear it for Dit, the winner of another unannounced contest.

You can stay tuned here, but there will be no further announcements concerning the presence or absence of an unannounced contest.

That he would win the unannounced contest was intuitively obvious to the most casual observer who didn't see it.

Well fine then.

I'd love to get into an argument over what you just said, but I have no idea what it was.

This effectively refutes the truism that "the first liar doesn't stand a chance around here" by withholding the opening entry and declaring a winner in advance of the ground rules (if any) thereby proving the existence of a heretofore undescribed phenomenon possibly (but not verifiably) known as a "Mobius Thread" where there is only one actual participant (due to lack of known details) and one protagonist (or antagonist as the case may be) with only one side (or boundary) constraining general contributions.

So congratulations on winning (or losing depending on the actual contest rules) and may your reign never end (or begin as such details may be undesireable).

YMMV, void where prohibited.

After all these contests.................finally, someone who understands!

I am not nearly as articulate as some of my brother cyclists but I am proud to have won this contest. I am a semi-Fred. My only concern is function. Style is of little concern. The only issue that keeps me from being totally Fred is my old, out of shape legs. I actually had a young man pass me yesterday. Even that did not bother me much. The training wheels hurt my pride a little though.

That's cheating! Of course it's the answer. Mice are never wrong.

I'm very sorry, but you have not filled out the correct form to place this answer at this time.
