Solid good affordable light weight tubes
looking to lighten the load and tubes make sense.

Between two 700c wheels you might save 4 ounces. Latex tubes were really for those that needed the ultimate in reducing rolling resistance in a tubed tire. However, I think tubeless probably trumps that now.

You can save much more weight going to lighter weight tires unless you have already gone that route. Latex inner tubes are more about providing a more supple ride than about saving weight. Keep in mind that the lighter the inner tube the thinner it is, but the thinner it is the more vulnerable it is to any sort of tire puncture. Years ago I bought a bunch of Schwalbe lightweight inner tubes, weighed about 50 grams each. Saved about 50 grams per wheel. I think that I bought about 10 of them. That summer, I had more flats than any summer before or since.

Last time I tried latex tubes, I didn't notice any lightness, but did notice they don't hold air well. Less than 24h and you need more air.

There are no solid tubes. They are all hollow.

I prefer Challenge latex tubes as they are very light and supple. Hard to change on the side of the road though should you get a puncture. For that chore I usually carry a lightweight Specialized butyl inner tube as a spare. Then swap out again when I get home.

I have used the bike tubes and they were good. I currently using the conti light with conti GP5000 tires and it seems to be a good balance between performance, feel and low flats
