Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

I would have a tough time going past this. Except, I'd probably trade out the Campy for some Red.

I'm already eye-deep in a harem of my dreambikes (my living room's full of them), so I'd probably blow it on this belt-driven, 64mpg beauty:

[Edit: I change my vote. I'd get two SRM powermeters for my bikes and spend the rest getting my junk knocked around by hookers.)

Yeah, def buy a few used frame sets/complete bikes: A Ti, a TT, a cinelli or colnago steel, and Canyon or BH for racing. Then probably a wheelset or two with PT.

Indie Fab (probably SSR) or a Specialized Tarmac. I would use whatever is left to get some Zipps, come on 404's!

The stock CAAD9 with Rival, and a sweet set of hand-built wheels.
Then I’d go to Hampsten and have them build me a Ti bike with similar geometry but with clearance for 28s and fenders to serve as the winter bike. Also with Rival and hand-builts.
Then spend the rest on a trip to ride them.

Crumpton or Spectrum Ti from Tom Kellogg. Would go for the long-ride comfort and descent stability over the twitchy hammer bike.

I still p.o.ed at the lack of clean compatibility between DA 7900 and 7800. Might go for Campy.

And for wheels, maybe 303s, and for pedals, be a total idiot and be a first generation of adopter for the vector power meter.

BMC Streetfire with decent components, the balance of the $10k going into an epic party for friends with a bunch of kegs and a band.

If I didn't already have it, I'd buy my bike (and still have some left over, maybe get a power meter or something):
