Crankset Compatibility
I have a brand new Dura-ace FC7800 10Sp 53-39 crank set I bought several years ago as a spare for my race bike. I plan to list it for sale and am wondering if anyone knows knows if it is compatible with a (Shimano) 11sp setup. Will a CN7801 (10sp) chain work with a (Shimano) 11sp cassette? I've got a bunch of new CN7801's I've accumulated.

Bike chains are all 1/2" pitch and "speeds" on the chain is about overall width difference between 10 & 11 in chain width for the crankset end is not significant.

Many people are using 10 spd cranks with 11 spd drivetrains. I would use an 11 spd chain if on a 11 spd drivetrain. I believe outside width of 11 spd chain is slightly narrower than 10 spd but inside width is the same.
