1964 Western Flyer Sonic Flyer - Appraisal?

Hi there! I received a red and black Western Flyer Sonic Flyer from a family member. I've found that it's from 1964 and has the lights. It's near perfect condition and I'm working on getting the lights operating. Any idea what it could be worth?

More information is required for BF members to assist with a value estimate. The bike has been identified and so too the condition. But location can and probably will have considerable impact on value. Where I live, such a bike might be worthless, however, in Toronto or any other large city area, the bike might be worth hundreds of dollars.

You can get past the location thing by selling on Ebay or any other on-line method but then you have to contend with shipping, and, of course, packing. Both require that one knows what he or she is doing. And both involve expense and risk.

Pictures are, indeed, a great way for BF members to determine value. You need ten posts before you can show pictures. Not sure if you can send me an email yet, but if so, send me a picture or two or three... and I will try to post them for you.

The problem with these bikes is that in mint condition they are extremely rare, but that doesn't translate into monetary value. The bulk of bikes that are "collected" are actually ridden, that creates the sort of demand that sustain prices. Worn examples are a dime a dozen and mint ones are just the sort of "collectable" that is too big to assemble a wall hanger collection of them. Outside of the best of class models most everything else has little value.
