Best Budget GXP Crank?
I'm trying to find budget replacement for a broken SRAM force crankset. I have been looking at things like the Truvativ Elita and SRAM S300. Anyone have experience with these or know of another GXP Crankarm?

I've had more issues with GXP based cranks that I care to admit.
I'd recommend switching to a Shimano 105 and Ultegra BB. Can be found cheap-ish and in my opinion is way more durable.

The GXP cranks I've used have all been fine (a couple of Truvativ Rouleur triples plus a SRAM Red compact). However, the chainrings on the cheaper SRAM cranks are pretty rubbish. I customize the gearing on all cranks, so the stock rings are not important to me. However, if you're going to stick with the stock rings, then consider a Shimano crankset because the chainrings are so much better.

I've had good luck with the S300. Durable, reliable & shifts well. Its great looking with a 130 bcd and 46 & 38t chainrings;

I went with a compact Truvativ Rouleur. I got a very good price off ebay, just waiting for it to ship. Chris, I'm using a single sugino chainring so the low quality sram stuff won't be a problem, maybe I'll make a wind chime. I'm excited to get the voodoo wazoo up and running.
