We didn't really do the whole present under the tree thing this year. Over the past month, however, a green Pendle Carradice bag arrived, to go with the green accents on my new(ish) titanium bicycle, and a whole bunch of furniture to house my stuff which finally arrived from Canada a little over a month ago. I can now finally unpack.

I got some pro-team kit (bibs, jersey, heavy/longsleeve jersey) from an Australian team with a rider who shares my name.
The 'secret Santa' at the party I was just at gave me some nice compression arm warmers (well, more sun blockers!) with a huge reflective stripe.

My old siamese cat Chester went into severe insulin shock seizure last week (he is diabetic) and we thought we were going to lose him after 15 years. He bounced back nicely, now he's doing fine.
So I got Chester for Christmas.

GSC-10 Speed/Cadence sensor for my Forerunner. I can now quantify exactly how much I'm not enjoying the trainer

Of course, Chester is not Bike Schwag, as much as I love him. So a couple of weeks ago, I did buy this on eBay:
2008 Cervelo P3, Profile/Zipp cockpit, D.A. 7900 crank set and brakes, D.A. 7800 derailleurs, those are my Zipp 404 Powertap wheels. About 18lbs as pictured, drops to under 17lbs with the Zipp tubies. Very pleased with the bike.

My Christmas goes on year round 'cause when I buy myself bike stuff ... I'll tell myself I'm buying it as an early (or late) Christmas present. So far, I haven't caught on to my deceitful doings.
But, hopefully before the end of February, I want to upgrade my backup bike (Dean Ti El Vado) with new components: Athena 11 group, along with new bars and wheels. Haven't decided on the wheels yet.

Throw the stick!!!!
So far the only present I've received (other than a healthy family and doggy) has been a new iPod shuffle. Oh, also a small hangover.

I got dropped on a Christmas Eve ride - does that count?
Did intervals on Thursday and went for a ride with a friend yesterday who handed out a fresh can of whoop ass and dropped me. Nothing like pedaling squares and going backwards
We aren't big into Christmas so my wife and I got a new TV and Fridge for each other (not really x-mas gifts) and focussed on the kids.

I didn't have anything under the tree, but I received a huge gift card to my favorite shop that will probably go toward paying for my new race team kits this year (or new bike). My Birthday is Thursday and my wife is actively trying to make me buy a new bike for my birthday/Christmas. I've been shopping for a while but haven't pulled the trigger. I keep telling myself to wait for the Scott F01, but the damn Addict at the bike shop has been calling to me. My wife is constantly telling me to go buy it. I figure the Christmas tree will be up until the new year so I would still have time to put the bike under the tree as a Christmas present.

Aww, how did Santa know that this is what I wanted...?
Now I have the final pieces for my new bike build. Hope to have it built before the new year.

My wife and I got new Macs a few months ago (MacBook Pro for me and iMac 27" for her) so that was both of our combined Christmas and Birthday gifts this year.
Add that to my Specialized Allez Elite back in August and we felt that was enough discretionary spending for one year.

Agree. My 17 year old cat is snuggled on my lap, which is way better than any gift. But I still like my new baselayer and sport bag.

Throw the stick!!!!
Just opened some presents from my wife. I got the book "The Playbook", Kid Rock "Born Fee" cd, a couple pairs of pants that I should be able to wear in a few months, and a pair of house shoes.
We both agreed to go small on the gifts this year and spend the majority of our Christmas money on family and friends.

I got nothin'. Which is PERFECT.
My little girl, however, got one of THESE:
Yup. Its a 24" C-X bike.
My present will be riding with her today.
-Z
ETA: Couldn't resist. Before she got it, I converted it to a 1x9, added an alloy 34t chainring, blue BBG bash guard, NGear Jump Stop, removed the dork disk, added a Ti railed saddle
No cycling shoes in her size so far, but I am going to try to bolt some SPD cleats onto her soccer shoes. I also need to find her a decent rear der. and she seems to want pink or neon green bar tape.

Two pairs of cycling socks and a Timbuktu messenger bag for my laptop. Oh! And a new left knee.
