Look...I only reported the response I received from the Surly Sales and Operations Department. I saw the lighter weight of the DT with regard to the LHT and was surprised. Perhaps the responder mistyped the DT weight, but I prefer not to call it an intentional lie or a conspiracy amongst bike manufacturers. Furthermore, common sense makes it obvious that any changes to OEM equipment changes the weight.

I chimed in earlier about what my Disc Trucker weighs with some mods, but I just found this in my old photos.

52 cm Disc Trucker bone stock out of the box. (2016 spec/10speed cassette)

26 lbs, 12oz.

I know this isn't new info, just confirms what Surly told you more-or-less.
