2017 Farley 9.6 - Stan's Hugo 26x52mm wheels????

Thinking about putting together a set of summer tires for my 2017 Farley 9.6 and dropping down from the 27.5x80mm mulefoots with 4.5 Barbegazis to something smaller.

Thoughts on a set of Stan's Hugo 26x52mm wheels with either 26x3.8 Rougarou's or 26x4 Jungle Jims or should I stay 27.5 with the Stan's Hugo 27.5x52mm wheels with 27.5x3.8 Hodags.

I will use them mostly during summer conditions with most of that being on single-track with only a small amount of rocks and roots. The other 10% will be on gravel. A good bit of that will be racing.

They sound fast but I'm concerned with pedal strikes dropping down in size on the wheels.

I have a 2018 9.8 Stache with 29x3 plus tires so I'm looking for something in the middle.
