The Yellow Jersey --- Been a while. The one scene where the yellow jersey in leading the peleton to the top

of a long, narrow, climb, then flats about 50 yards from the top, up goes his wheel for help, but then comes the

flood riders over the crest, and off they go, flying down the mountain. i would love to watch it again, if I could find it, if only for that one scene.

I did like Rad, found it a bit predictable. - BMX Bandits is the only one I keep a copy of, and still watch every
so often.

Though this is more a documentary about the TRANS-AM (Trans-American Trail) race, "Inspired To Ride" is quite interesting. It chronicles the 2014 unsupported race from Oregon to Virginia. As of this post, I've watched it on Netflix (twice). Enjoy.

Add my name to the list of people who like "Breaking Away." I got to see it in a high school film class and have watched it over a million times since. Unfortunately, I think I was the only person in that class that liked the film. And almost everyone I've asked says they haven't seen it or heard of it.

I've also watched the short-lived TV series that was a spin-off of "Breaking Away." It starred Shaun Cassidy (as "Dave") and brought Jackie Earle Haley back, but the other main characters were replaced with lesser-known actors. I've reviewed the TV series on my personal website: A Look At: Breaking Away (the TV series)?

Thanks for the comment - I never knew there was a TV series based on the movie. I've always appreciated the movie for having a good plot and excellent character development regardless of the bicycling scenes.

Easily Breaking Away

I grew up in Indiana, and attended Indiana University. In many ways, I relate quite a bit to the protagonist in the film; born and raised in rural, blue collar Indiana and then encountering other students at IU that were far wealthier...it was a tough adjustment.

But the cycling in it is just amazing.

I love Beijing Bicycle too much. It's about strong relation between bicycle and rider. Guai ,a 16 years old boy, had just come from a Chinese village to Beijing. After coming Beijing, he found a job as a courier at a delivery company. At start, the company paid %20 commission of income from deliveries and lent employees a brand new Merida. If they delivered enough packages, they would get the bicycle. Guai loved the bike lent by company, so he worked hard and determinedly to get it. But one day, someone stole the bike, so Guai left unemployed and without the bike that he loved.

Murder Of Couriers - A Bike Messenger Documentary
I came across this documentary Friday night and watched it. The movie focused on couriers that basically live on the street and party hard. So poor, yet so fast.

I've got another vote for Premium Rush, but I just recently watched Tour de Pharmacy. That was fantastic. Definitely should have been feature-length.
