Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

PBK returns and exchanges

I ordered a set of knickers from PBK and got the wrong size (my fault - I ordered the wrong size).

Has anyone here returned or exchanged something with PBK? How is it dealing with the exchange process from here in the USA? Is it a headache? Really slow?

I'm wondering if it would just be better to order another set of knickers and try to sell the too-small set on eBay at a loss, and just call it a learning experience. Next time I'll be 100% sure of size before I mail order clothing from across the pond.

Put them up on EBay. Where do you think all the "worn once" stuff on EBay comes from?

Well, since my current orders are already about a month since shipped from PBK and yet to arrive.... can only imagine how long returning something would take.

Mailing back to the UK is actually simple and rather cheap. I have mailed stuff back to Wiggle, but not PBK. Less than $10 is you pack it tight in a very small container like the priority mail boxes or envelopes. I would not let the shipping be the one thing from keeping you from returning them. Contact PBK FIRST and ask about their return policy and procedures.

I returned some shoes to them this winter and, although it took a while to get my refund, the process was pretty painless. The only reason it took a couple of months for the back and forth was my choice of the cheapest (and slowest) shipping back to the UK. There was such a big jump to even the standard air rate for the size of the box the shoes came in that I didn't have the heart to send it any faster. PBK covers the return shipping, after all.

Obviously I don't have the issue of international shipping but I can say that the one time I returned an item to PBK it was hassle free.
