Singlespeed & Fixed Gear "I still feel that variable gears are only for people over forty-five. Isn't it better to triumph by the strength of your muscles than by the artifice of a derailer? We are getting soft...As for me, give me a fixed gear!"-- Henri Desgrange (31 January 1865 - 16 August 1940)

No one (even solbrothers) is doing a century entirely in the drops, so there's no real need to keep discussing it.

"Oh really" what? Your bike looks good and comfortable but have you ridden a hundred miles straight using only the drops?

not to keep beating the worthless conversation but last year i did an 80 some odd mile day and probably all but 10 miles or so were in the drops. it was a cold, windy, and pouring rain. staying tucked was warmer and less work than sitting upright. i also have a tendency to do fast standing climbs in the drops.

I did a century the other day with my left nut on the right side of my saddle's nose.

....and yes, my right nut was on that side as well. Back to the pics!

Had a setup swap and documented the "new" looks in chrono-order

Swapped to "skinny" 32mm knobbies with the surprise snow storm that happened over the weekend. Transferred the full fenders on to keep the slush off, but the overlap was way too much to worry bout

so the fenders came off

but decided on swapping tires again to 40mm (and gear) cuz I didn't like all the extra tread in the middle of the tires since there ain't much snow around for the time being for it to be effective

Your bike gets me every time. It combines so many things that I don't like the looks of on most bikes (fenders, brooks, duel arrospok, 2 brakes, murdered out) and somehow makes them all look incredibly good together. One of my favorite bikes on this forum by far.
