AM rim recommendations
I have been using my ZTR Crest for about a year now. When I got my new set (my 3rd set now) of Highrollers, I was forced to get the Highroller2 2.4 because the shop ran out of the old 2.35 version.
Not realizing that the 2.4 tires had a mark, recommended for 23mm+ rims. The Crest is just 21mm.
So now I am shopping for wider rims.
Just the rims because the Hope Evo2s have been very good to me.
What are my options?
So far I know about ZTR Flow, and Mavic 321 and 721 because that's what my buddies use. But I am not familiar with other brands.
I am leaning towards the Flow, but I'd like a new look for my bike.
Any help appreciated.
BTW, I'm placing the new rims on this bike.

Am I clear on this? . . . you want to buy new rims and spokes and go to the trouble of relacing because you changed tires?
Don't sweat the small difference. Yes, it will alter the tire's profile slightly but I doubt enough that you would notice.

These rims are already about a year old, and this is a perfect excuse for an upgrade. lolz.
So far, this what I found since the post.
ZTR Flow - very light
Dartmoor Raider - a bit heavy
Alexrims Evo 2.3 - very light but no 32h available
Spank Tweet
I'm sure I am missing a lot.. any recommendations?

If they really don't fit correctly, I'd buy new tires before I replaced rims.

You're wasting your breath; he's really just looking for an excuse to replace his rims. Whatever.

Still kicking.
Personally, I would just run what you got.
Dartmoor Raider is more geared around being a dh/fr/dj rim.
Same with the Spank tweet.
Seen too many issues to trust a product made by alex.
QC issues with velocity
If it was my bike and desperately needed rims, I'd probably go with Sun Infernos.

Thanks everyone.. I have taken everyone's advice and will run with what I got.
However, I still put in an order today for Alexrims FR30 (sweet deal for $40) as I have decided to build a complete wheelset with my old DT350 hubs (which I completely forgot that I have) that I found in my drawer last night.
So I can retain my old Hope/ZTR Crest and use it as an XC set, and the other as an all around set.
Anyway, the reason why I want to try wider rims is because of this article that I read.

... and as dminor said, "an excuse to to replace rims"..

If you find any smokin' deals on better-than-average black spokes, please share .

I found a good deal on the spokes too Mr. Dminor, however, I can't share it because I took the last 2 sets.. paid half off the Sapim butted spokes.
Despite placing an order on the AlexFR30, I ultimately decided to go all the way with Dartmoor rims, after discovering that the FR30 was heavier than claimed.
So here's what I got, Hope Evo2 + Darmoor Raider + Sapim butted spokes. Unfortunately, no way to try this on the trails soon.. Another typhoon is pounding on the islands, it wont be over until a few days..
