Importing lugs?
Does anyone have tricks for importing (specifically Japanese) lugs that don't seem to be offered by US distributors? Trying to get my hands on a Tange/Long Shen LC40 fork crown.

One could always become a true business that imports products. All kinds of permits, regulations, insurance and business letters of credit (or the international equivalent) would likely be needed first. Almost no one will go through this to get just a few parts.
If you can't find a on line seller (like Ceeway) that carries the parts try contacting the manufacturer directly. Some of us have a stash of frame making parts and also might have something to offer up. Andy

I have always wondered if one of the existing framebuilding companies would special order one for you. I get the impression they only order a few times a year. Might be worth talking to someone if Ceeway doesn't have it.

Importing to where? Ceeway has excellent service to the US and I would imagine EU - despite brexit.

Isn't that the old Brent Steelman design fork crown that he used on his Cyclocross frames ?

It is!
In truth, I would be making copies of Potts type ii forks if I had a bending setup and better fork jig. As it is, with my skill level and equipment, I think a cast fork crown is more manageable.
