Matte black is also a very popular color. Cars and trucks come that way and the auto detailing industry came up with special soap and finishing treatments for it. It also on any number of other hobby items people are buying and even bicycle helmets.

I like the sculpted lines of the frame, I'm ambivalent on the color, would prefer a celeste version, but black is nice also. hey, at least its not neon orange or some heinous pink/green/yellow combo. personally, I like the disc brakes, I know i'm in the minority here but when executed proper they are dead sexy from a 'beauty in function' point of view. and bianchi executed that properly. if I had the cash I'd take one for a test ride and see if I liked it, but I know that won't happen for many years to come, good to dream though.

I like it! Matte Black is just another color choice and I think it's hot. Bianchi is just late to the game, with the matte black but they know it would sell. And it's a lot easier to accesssorize matte black with any other color combination.

Just another color choice THAT'S ON EVERY CRABON BIKE.
-Because it's carbon. Yes.
Still, whatever happened to personality?
I feel like this whole constant changing of standards and upgrading is going to implode the whole business.
I feel like this decade might see the advent of hipsters riding retro-ten [2 in the front, 5 in the back.] speeds instead of Fixiez.

Gorgeous. The non-disc version they show has a lot more celeste, so perhaps the disc frame will be available in the same? I hope so.. I'd love to put that between my legs. The fork alone is dead sexy. In a year or two I can see this, or the then current version of it, replacing my Roubaix.

Very Nice, like it. In 5 years even Sora spec'd bikes will have disc brakes. I personally don't know why.....I have never in my 30+ years of racing, riding, etc. ever needed more power and/or modulation than my Dura-Ace (or SRAM Force) brakeset. Yes, I put Force in the same exact arena as DA in the brake dept. Two of the best brakes hands down in the entire world.
BTW, if St. Francis of Assisi rode a bike, it would be this Bianchi Oltre X, spec'd with Campy Super Record of course.

The real advantages of disc brakes won't come around until you start seeing disc only rims. Once that happens all the pro bikes will be running pure CF rims with disc brakes. The big thing with rims is that 50g near the hub feels vastly difference than 50g on the rim edge.
Are those hydraulic or cable discs?

Ferraris are red, Astons are green, Audis are silver...sure they have other colors but you're not supposed to buy them. For Bianchi it is the same and I can't think of another bike company to which this applies.
