Need summer training advice
I am about to be 18 and I am attending Penn State University (USA college). I want to join their club cycling team and I want to actually be competitive for road racing.
I am fairly bad on flats and I want to be able to increase my speeds on them as well as continue to improve on climbs which I am already pretty good at (I am 115lbs and 5’3”)
I have done a 10mi unofficial TT and averaged 22mph (generally flat) last year. This week in Florida (superr flat) I went at ~85% and averaged 20mph over 25mi and I did have a 11mph head wind at the end and both TT’s were solo (obviously).
I ride a trek domane alr4 disc so it’s not aero. (Can’t afford high end bikes).
What are some good workouts and training plans which can help increase my ability to put down power over flats?

You've already started a thread about this. The information hasn't changed. The same things mentioned there answer your questions above.
Go ride more. Learn how to ride in a group. Find very hilly races. You're not going to be super fast on the flats at 115 lbs. You have to learn how to ride in a group very well.

And you're not going to be competitive when you first start racing. You're going to get destroyed (at least most of us got destroyed).
More realistic goals would be:
Freshman year: race Cs.
Sophmore year: race Bs.
Junior year: start placing Bs/race As.
Senior year: race As.
Racing is very, very difficult. And once you're racing As, you're racing cat 1s and domestic pros. So, yeah. Enjoy that experience.

You might try putting on more muscle. At 125 your BMI would be a little over 22. That'd be a little bit over a pure climber, but you'd be faster on the flat. You don't want fat. It take time to put on pure muscle but it can be done. Talk to a strength coach.

Wouldn't hurt to get a coach. Stick to their plan. When you read or hear of stuff that others tout as the miracle in their cycling performance, then discuss it with your coach and find out why it does or does not fit in the plan they have for you.
