Which year is my Bianchi Trofeo??

Hi, I'm not allowed to post pics yet, so hopefully I can list enough details to be identifiable!

I have a red 50cm Bianchi Trofeo that I bought off craigslist today, from late 80's or early 90's. It is so nice to ride and the gears are smooth, I'm psyched.

Anyway, some potential identifiers are: Most components are Campagnolo, only the silver though, not the black on the rear derailer. It says Superset 2, Fully lugged frame. Also it says, Cro-mo tubing. Syncho indexed shifters.

There are 8 gears in the back, a San Marco seat. Stem and handlebars are black. The handlebars say Super Europa 2 aluminum (maybe not original??)

Any help is appreciated!

The US catalogs seem to show this model as being listed only for 1991 and all the details seems to match.

Those pages keep crashing my ****ty chromebook. All I see is blur when I zoom in! I had an inkling it was at earliest 91' though due to the 8 gears.

Trofeo

It will help to see the pictures. I have a 1997 trofeo and like it a lot even though it was not a high level bike back then but still good quality and like yours all campagnolo except mine has a miche crankset.
for me eight speed is a sweet spot in that it is enough gears for my needs as long as have an adequate low gear.

That doesn't look like my '91 Bianchi USA catalog, the bikes are different and mine don't have oriental style script in them.

In the US market the Trefeo was around from '85ish to '88 and then dropped. the name seems to have resurfaced in '95 and was on and off after that.

Post some good pics of the bike, frame tubing decal and components and I'll see if I can track it down. You could also email them to me, Bianchigirll@yahoo.com
