I just wish the hinge and clamp bolt was on the front and back, not the sides.

i have been mourning the loss of my favorite travel tripod for years. gitzo 1541t with a tiny RRS BH-25 ball head and mini screw knob clamp. the beauty of it was that when folded all the way around, the head and clamp actually fit between the legs. not the setup for super heavy gear but an incredibly high stability/extension to folded size ratio.
i loaned it to my brother who claims i didn’t loan it to him. i should have known better, both his car and bike are the same shade of blue (riviera blue (i think) m3 and true blue endurace) whereas mine are all nearly the same shade of dark grey/black.

Back to my quick link. Replaced with a brand new quicklink still too easy to put together.
Thoughts?

Thanks, I actually like the rail option, but that still requires me to buy another mount. I can use the seat post mount it came with on all of my bikes except the madone. I have the original Varia with a 3d printed mount on the madone, currently.
Now that I have the camera, I like having that, incase I am ever in an accident. I am convinced if I ride without the camera that’s when I will get hit.

On your phone it’s a QR code, but the passengers I watch just keep turning there phone trying to get it to scan, the scanner needs a second.
Just realized i’m in Austin all next week. I wonder if this time I can convince mellow johnies to let me rent an emonda for less than 80 dollars.

It rained here a little early this morning and when I got up I could see snow on the hill behind the houses. We are about 1200 feet and it didn't snow here but it looks to be down to 2000 feet, as some predicted. Low clouds have blocked my view but it probably won't stick for long. Pretty rare event, though, and more might be coming.
I'm doing a flat and low elevation ride today.

Speaking of which, here he is, the only teacher willing to take a photo with us on graduation day. Either that or he wanted to bear witness, for himself, to make sure we were actually leaving.
Good old brother Sheridan.

Holy cow, wonder if they mostly just ran out of gas or couldn't get up the hill. I heard reports of averaging 2-3 miles per hour on commutes home last night!

No, that photo is retro for real, that was over 50 years ago. Bam wasn't even born yet.
