Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

That has been done to varying extents in many series, but that race is not one of them. There's Corvettes, 'stangs, Firebirds, Porsches Datsuns, etc in that race.

Same.

Well, not the snow part, but temperatures in the 30s/40s/50s.

Ever hear of the International Race of Champions?

There was one (maybe still is) for members of the media where they race similarly prepared Crown Victoria police cruisers. Fun to watch.

I had some Vittoria G2 tubeless tires. I felt they rolled like crap, although grip was good. Didn't ride much in the wet with them, but noticed a dramatic improvement in going to the GP5K S TR

Do you know how to walk?

Then, you know how to snowshoe.

End of lesson.

You're welcome.

Went up the local mountain last night after work.

Put a longer stem on and moved my saddle back a bit - seems to have helped me rotate my pelvis more and get a bit of weight off of my hands. Still adjusting to the new position but 75 miles on it so far and nothing more than my lower back being a bit stiff.

Tried one of the little side roads on the mountain after descending for kicks and giggles- 18% switchbacks are a unique feeling

I got Chikengunya Fever once. Closely related to Dengue. Took 7 months to recover. Still have joint issues from it. Wouldn’t wish it on anyone.
