TACX Bushido T1982

I have an older trainer, a TACX Bushido T1982. With a 4iiii Power Meter, I don't really see the need to upgrade to a smart trainer, at least at this point.

Having a slight issue though; once in a while, the trainer will suddenly drop the resistance (from 320W to 150W for example) without the setting being changed. It can go on for a minute, or sometimes go on for much longer. It will then reset itself and I am forced to stop pedaling, restart the session, and continue on.

Any thoughts on how to fix the issue? I am pretty sure the firmware is fixed, and I can't update through an ANT connection.

Cheers
Steve
