Check the paint carefully near the lugs. Motobecane had their hands slapped by Reynolds’s but must have still had some 753 tubes around. Some of these were transferred as Columbus but had some or three main tubes of 753.
terrific price for this the Campagnolo is worth the price alone.
I have mine.
a wee bit bigger.

Definitely a smoking deal! If it were a 59, it would be mine. Out of curiosity, what would one look for when checking the paint near the lugs, that works help determine if it was 753?

One is looking for any sign of tube stamping witness under the paint. No guarantee but the paint was often not thick, sometimes it shows through- placement is random but generally near a lug.

As an additional data point, my 753 Mercian has a 26.8 seat post as well. Smoking deal...

Frame received in excellent packaging-- thanks!
Tried the wheelset from my recent Cino ride, complete with 700x33-1/3 Jack Browns which performed beautifully over all those surfaces-- they fit like a glove!
Will start a build thread whenever I get started.
