Disappointed in Specialized Nimbus tires
This past October I put on some new Nimbus sports on my Crosstrail. To make my road rides smoother and perhaps a bit faster. I kept the original Trigger tires for trails that are not paved.
This past 2 weeks I kept getting slow small leaks when using the Nimbus tires on the rear wheel and could never find any debris or anything in the tire.
Eventually I took it into my LBS, they stretched the tire out to find it was falling apart thus rubbing holes into the inner tube. They're going to get back to me on whether or not Specialized will cover this under a warranty since they told me it's occurring to other Nimbus tires as well.
If they don't cover it, I'm thinking about getting some Conti Gaterskins (700cx32) at Performance Bikes since I have enough points to cover the cost. Or would these not be a good tire on a Hybrid?

That's exactly what was happening with my Nimbus tire. I'll probably end up getting another one just to match the other tire I already have. I did like the way they rode.

Damn, Nimbis/Specialized needs to get it together, a few years ago I had three sets of their Armadillos separate in less than a year, the LBS just kept replacing them and every few months they would start to come apart again. Never will buy that brand again.
