just joined the league of grandparents

Elder son, David, and daughter-in-law, Hui-Jin, brought their project in a couple of weeks ahead of schedule. Tough labor and vacuum-assisted delivery, but Jin is tough, and her mom was an Ob-Gyn in Korea.

I've been telling my siblings for years that you're not officially old until you're a grandparent. And it just so happens that although I'm the oldest of the clan, I was the last to become a grandparent (last fall.) So, congrats on the new addition, and my condolences that you've just become officially old, too. (We still don't have to grow up, though.)

yep, grandkids are great to have.... you get all the fun without the responsibility....you get to spoil them and let someone else deal with the discipline...

Once you see how much fun grandchildren can be you'll wonder why you didn't have them first.

'Old' when you become grandparents?
Got to b kidding . . . we are great-grandparents twice over!
"Old" is 10 years older than what we are today (and I'm only 82)
Congrats and enjoy . . . there may be more to come!

Congratulations!

Now that most of my grandchildren are married and starting their families I'm now being blessed with great grandchildren.
