He prolly is! I can't see getting a big camera set up at that angle easily. Much easier to squat down with a little one for that view.

Hard to say for sure. My Nikkor 50 f1:1.2 gave me trouble in some "no flash allowed" wedding situations. You'd get the eyes & nose in focus only to proof the shots and find her earring completely out.

Part of the fun of looking at prOn is critiquing ALL of the techniques in the picture!

Good one! Not my shot and no clue as to the equipment, but that's quite possible.

No, don't think so. The pronounced grain couldn't be anything but 35mm, at least to my eye. The size of the dust on the scanned negatives is another giveaway.

Ran into a 51 year old badass at my LBS riding 52/13 fixed, and he happens to be a very talented photography pro.

Yes, the grain structure, is indeed, indicative of smaller formats. Which is why I'm thinking 35mm. I also feel that had it been shot on large format, it would have been more likely to be shot on monochrome.

I believe it's way more than that- also involves image stitching:

Brenizer Method - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Personally, it sounds like a gimmick; then again, I'm not a commercial photographer.

Anyway, getting off topic.

Probably just a multiple exposure dealio and then blended together creatively to produce a sweet image -- thats what I would always do anyways. Better to have more information than not enough (in regards to highs/lows)

Random PSA: please do not post your personal bikes here.
