Diamondback Outlook
Hi -- I know it's not a classic or particularly vintage, but I am trying to find more information about the Diamandback Outlook, particularly regarding the frame. Were these all hi-tensile steel frames? Or any chance they were cromoly, double butted? I think they're pretty good looking bikes, and they're pretty inexpensive in the used bike market. Thank you for any observations about this particular model.

I had one just like that. Pretty low end, and heavy. I don’t believe it was double butted anything. The frame weighed a ton.

According to the 1995 (a little older than the OP bike) catalog, it's entry level. Hi-Ten frame, Lee Chi brakes, etc.

If you like it, and it fits, ride it.

I would jump on a bike like that. It's several orders of magnitude better than the POS - whoops, I mean Panasonic Tourist - that I'm in the middle of restoring.
