Why not? I think that works.
I have been trying to squeeze in a longer ride by asking my wife to let me meet her/her family on their excursions. Yeah, she's made it clear that that's not gonna fly - she doesn't feel comfortable navigating around here and she really doesn't want to ride with them (and have our kids' safety rely on their driving). Bummer.

Oh, since Addiction loves when worlds collide, I'm happy to report that Dan and I were able to secure a little bit of time from our respective CEOs to chit chat over a few tasty beers last night. It was nice to get out of Retireeburg for a little while and act like a somewhat social adult.

The good news is that it's roughly 60 miles from my place to Flemington, NJ, which is a perfect distance. The not-so-good news is that the routes will take me through relatively congested areas and a solo ride there has a little more risk than I like. Sad!

Since 1982, (is that 37 seasons or 38?) I've had maybe 3 saddle sores and i'm pretty sure they were all caused by seam irritation. I know the last one a couple years ago was a seam because I had been having trouble with a sore spot in the same area every time that I wore them. When I finally developed a sore, I finally pitched the shorts. They were old and worn out anyway.

Good idea. But when I look at the heatmap it does not superimpose roadmap/names so it's really tough to see the route. Am I missing a click somewhere?

No, you're not missing anything that I'm aware of. Yeah, it's not as convenient as it could be, but I usually keep two windows open, heat maps and Google maps, side-by-side so I can reference against each other. It's also nice to be able to drop in to street view.

There's a menu on the left, if it's closed it'll just be a white rectangle that says "Global Heatmap". If it's opened there will be a Layers > Labels option to click, that'll show street names when zoomed in.
