Amtrak's specification for carry-on folding bikes is no greater than 1120mm x 860mm x 380mm.

Seems fair enough to me - my quibble with some folding bikes has always been that many fold to a size not much smaller than a regular bike and take up a lot of space.

Hi,
The transport for London website has a lot of details for London, England.
They used to say folding bikes on the underground must be under 20 inch diameter. I don't see that now. Interestingly the only distinction is folded or not. Nothing I could see on size.
Currently
Buses- at driver's discretion.
Trains- folded allowed at all times. Non folded not allowed during morning and evening rush hour.

I think my Airnimal with 24 inch wheels would be just a bit too tall for that specification if I remove the steerer tube extension. But otherwise would be close so it would be a question of how stringent they are when they enforce that specification.

POINT bus https://oregon-point.com/, uses very large busses (Prevost/Volvo)
with big cargo bays.. so non folding bikes can be put in there, as is..

My trick, on airliners, is to remove the Brompton's seat (telescoping post makes this easy). I have the Brooks B67 seat which makes this a good idea.
