I wonder how many individuals lost money over Cavendish's unexpected win on yesterday's uphill finish.

Watched every day in it's entirety last year for the first time in my life. I loved recording it at 4:30am and then watching it from around 6am until it ended.

I don't know if it's the whole Contador thing or what but this year I watched 15 minutes yesterday for the first time and then deleted the whole thing and canceled the series recording. I just had no interest whatsoever who won a stage or who has what jersey. I'm not even interested in the bikes or components this year!

Oh well, guess I'll just hop on my CAAD9 and ride instead....

What's changed your mind? I take it you don't race?
I don't foresee this happening to me unless something severely unfortunate happens.

Not me. They ride around for a while, talk amongst themselves, avoid the wind. Every so often they sprint to some line that someone made up and earn some points. Then towards the final 10 kilometers of a 150-200km race, they actually start racing. They swap jerseys and a couple of women give them a kiss on the podium. They blow a load of champagne, and you might even get a tear from the race winner. Heck, you might even get full blown sobbing. The crashes are interesting though.

I just watch the highlights. If I get a chance.

Religiously. I thought I would lose interest after all the years of watching Lance but that isn't the case.

I'm not sure why anyone would DVR it though - it repeats about 6 times throughout the day.

I have to say the camera coverage is much better this year...

The Road forum already has its TdF thread. All others will be moved to Pro.

Finally, be careful with spoilers and be considerate enough to put "Possible Spoiler" at the top of your post and only post anything that requires that after the first broadcast.

Fair enough?

i respect that, i know what you mean, i also personally think that only the mid-way sprint, the end, crashes, and people trying to lead is the most exciting parts but i dont know, theres something about it that makes me watch.

it also could be that im only getting my first bike today, and i love those types of bikes and racing, so i love to watch them, but soon i could maybe have a little less erge to watch it.

I have to admit that those tiny CGI bikes and riders on the TDF live site during the race are sweet!

Fast forward through commercials, replay what I want and watch what I want. Once you DVR, you'll never go back!
