Great looking bike and most likely the dented tube will not negatively impact ride quality or feel. Sadly, for the vintage bicycle enthusiast, a dented tube dramatically reduces the bike's value.
Such damaged bikes are often purchased at low prices in an effort to harvest the components from. As a collector and vintage bicycle enthusiast, I refrain from buying bikes with damaged tubes or even rust pitted chrome plating. Hope that is a help and sorry to offer such a negative opinion.

Without the dent, in my area, that is a $300 bike. With the dent, it is worth maybe half of that. Maybe.

I would say nice bike and safe to ride the dent's shouldn't effect the ride or strength of the frame look to be from the bike being poorly placed in a bike carrier and not crash damage.. If it's you size and you like the nice color look I would say you could reasonably go about $200 but I would try for $150.

In theory that is repairable. Not perfectly straight forward, but you would first remove the cable guide.
Then using frame blocks to push as much of the dent out as possible.
Perhaps touch up with some brass filler and replace the cable guide.
Add a white accent band.
And, ride!!!

IMO, I think it will not fall apart anytime soon.....has anyone ever tried to collapse a triangulated tube frame, even with a dent....it's pretty hard.

It's a beautiful example of a Tange 1 steel frame bike. It's a thin tubeset bike weighing in around 22 pounds. A little dent like that should have practically no effect on performance.

Certainly affects the value but I don’t think it will ride any different. If you just want a nice bike to ride it may be fine and you should get a good deal on a very nice riding bike.

At $125, I might have bought it as a bike that was going to stay on the trainer, so the bike I usually ride on both trainer and outdoors could have outdoor-only duty.

buy it for $50 then take it to a framebuilder and have them slap a new top tube in. you then paint to save $$.

If I were selling, I would part it out.
As someone looking for a fork about that size, I'd pay $100 if it fit my needs. I imagine others might go somewhere near that too, so you could probably get $250ish for all of it.

To me, that dent is a cosmetic nothing-burger. I've got an '82 Mercian with a worse dent built with 531C that I've ridden far and fast over the years, and maybe someday I'll take it to a frame-builder and have it rolled out, filled and touched up and repainted. This Centurion I would ride as-is, but try to score a deal because of the dent. I would also consider having the cable guide removed, the dent rolled out, the cable guide re-mounted, and to my darnedest to color match and touch up the repaired area.
I'm a latecomer to the cult of Centurion, but that's a lovely bike. Of course, if you acquire it and choose to part it out, gimme a good deal on the frameset and maybe we'll talk ...

Thinking about that bike... I wonder if one could make a hook that would go into the cable guide, then gently tap it with a slide-hammer, or some kind of a puller.
