Tire size question
I ordered a pair of Continental Travel Contact tires in size 700x37. The tires I received are marked 28 x 1 3/8 x 1 5/8. Are these the same size as I ordered? Will they fit a 700 rim? If so, why would they be marked differently than advertised both on Amazon.com and on Conti's web site?
Thanks.
Thanks.

Yeah it'll work
I have 27" 1 1/4" rims and I got 32s on them. The fit was tight, but for early clincher rims, it was worth it.

Thanks for the link. I see it says some German companies use this format. Apparently Conti is one of those.
Not sure why I don't just jump to the Sheldon Brown site everytime I have a question like this.

700C, 28" and 29" all use the same diameter rim (622mm). It is smaller than the diameter of a 27" rim (630mm).
