Nuvistors probably ain't cheap anymore. Hence the name New Vista. Had a 19" portable up until nearly the digital switchover.

I'm surprised some scrapper hasn't snagged it yet, although the left side likely has the VIN, and some steel recyclers don't like buying junk cars without titles

If it only matched my car... I can buy almost all the body panels, but things like door pillars aren't made by anybody.

Not likely a hijack, look at some of the other items and the prices. Likely just a delusional seller taking a shot in the dark hoping some impulsive idiot buyer pulls the trigger.

I see price inconsistencies like that fairly often on my local CL People re-posting an ad after it having been up awhile with no response.

But that bike is a pretty good joke in itself; I owned one. That is the twistiest, flexiest, wobbliest tandem you will ever have the misfortune to ride. I only rode it three times; twice by myself, and once with my 9-year-old daughter out back and my 3 year old daughter riding in the basket up front. It was a good time but not exactly safe.

I've never been to MOMA, but I have been to the Tate Modern more than once. Does that make me a momas boy?

Puzzling Zeus Listing -

-----

This ebay entry for a Zeus road bicycle states in the header that it is a Zeus Competition. There is a photo of what looks to be an ornage Zeus Competition of about 63cm in size from ~1970-71 ('71 was final year for the Competition model chainset it wears).

Down in the text portion of the listing it states the bicycle is the Victoria model, blue and 50cm.

Perhaps the Greek gods have trouble knowing their own mind...

If you're looking for a showroom-condition Puch and money is no concern...

Vintage Puch racing bike bicycle - $300 (Lynn haven)

Vintage Puch racing bike bicycle
Excellent condition
$300
It really is clean, I'll give them that. But it's been posted for weeks and they haven't budged on the price.

Maybe not too wacky... but if you were looking for a new "climbing" freewheel, how about an Everest Special?

Of course, for those needing a little extra for the climb, one can add a sprocket and get their Everest in alloy (aluminum?)

Today I learned that "vitesse" is French for "speed into a parked SUV on the way back from the bar."

Vitesse racing - $40 (Camarillo, CA)

Oh, it does have front and rear brakes, and even top tube cable guides.

I'm sure someone posted here on BF earlier searching for that exact frame

They made a 13-24 for climbing. I sold one a few months ago. The larger cogs were drilled for light weight.

The bike is identical to this one except everything is yellow and the frame is black.
My parents bought me this bike brand new in 1982. It has not been rode since 1989. It's all yellow and it's awesome! Everything is original except for the tires, tubes, and hand grips. (still have the originals too). I have been speaking to a few people over the last two years on the bmx museum online site. They have told me that that my bike is so rare that I can basically ask any price for it that I want. lol It is identical to the Redlines from 1981 (minus the stickers) and they sell for $2500 or more.

$2000 cash for mine. I would entertain partial trades with a minimum of $1000 cash. I am interested in guitars, tube amps, hockey cards, 1950's and older comic books, military items, old tin toys, car stuff, rare mancave antiques etc. I live on the island, but could potentially deliver it to Van for the right deal.

....He want's $2000 and the photo isn't even of his bike or even the same color. "And it's identical to a 1981 Redline" which is a bike that was hand made in the USA and top of the line, where as nishiki was a mid range brand...It's a $2-300 bike!

I hate it when a person chooses to post a picture they snagged off of the internet rather than spending 5 minutes to take a couple of good photos of their own bike.

Yes, it is a BICYCLE... could have just said that and left off the stolen photo.

Lots of things a good photo will tell potential buyers that stolen photos won't.

And those are the ads I get wary about. What's so difficult to take at least one photo of the actual item? Just about everyone has a smartphone or something with picture capabilities.
