1.5“ Top Headset cover
Hi there
Does anyone know of any alternatives to the FSA No.55 headset. The headset cover is 55.8 in diameter and sits on an IS52 bearing but it has a very low profile. In combination with a normal stem and some spacers it looks kinda silly. Besides the ACR Model from FSA as well as the Deda DCR which are integrated cable options and come with proprietary stem spacers i wasnt able to find anything. I was hoping for something like a conical cover which would smooth out the rather big transition from 1-1/2 to 1-1/8.
Does anyone have an idea?

Have you looked at Cane Creek 40-series? The specifically offer a "tall cover" option in a great variety of configurations and diameters.

The frame is a Carbonda CFR-1056 and I got the Headset directly from them yet as mentioned it doesnt look that great with a regular stem. I believe the frame is designed for an integrated cable build.
I have found the FSA Orbit Z 1.5 which is a semi integrated headset. According to technical drawings the cover is 55mm in diameter so 0,8mm smaller. My thought was to use the cover as it has a larger flat section and then a conical spacer on top. This way i would get a smoother transition. Do you think this could work? Its an expensive solution but i dont believe i can get the parts separately.
