Welcome to the forums. We're going to need some of those hints you found. Theres not much we can do without them or pictures. What color is the bike, what parts does it have, any serial numbers, any model decals attached, etc etc.
You'll need 10 posts to be able to post pictures.

I hope I didn't ruin the bike by removing the original bar tape and adding new tape to the bike ....

I am recalling that The Londoner was a product made by Fuji, very early 70's.
I had one like the one shown, but was purple and with tiny frame and 26" wheels.

Agreed, this looks like it could be an early to mid-1970s Fuji manufactured product. The serial number should provide confirmation.

"The Londoner" marque belongs to the Scheuer company of New York
during the 1950's the products were contract manufactured by Bauer of Germany and by Batavus of The Netherlands
during the 1960's sourcing was moved to Japan where the cycles were done by Bridgestone
here is the head of a Batavus manufacturered The Londoner from the 1950's -
for clarity sake wish to mention that there is an unrelated Londoner marque which is based in Britain

I am recalling that some of the parts/fittings on my Londoner did have the Fuji logo stamped into them. It seemed like an entirely unmolested and little-used bike, so I took that as meaning Fuji-sourced.
It was a different model from any shown here, mostly steel parts so pretty low-end.

Hello @Titoferarri,
Picture Assist:
I think the serial number is M6L01782.
The format and location of the serial number is for manufacturer Fuji, not Bridgestone.
The first digit, 6, is for the Showa year 46 as the year of frame manufacture, or 1971. The letter "L" is for December as the month of manufacture.

You don't have to wait until you have 10 posts. You can upload the photo now. It will be deposited in a gallery album under your forum ID. Then, myself or another member can post it in this thread on your behalf. Just make sure that the photo is taken from the drive side, otherwise when I perform the photo assist, I'll be subject to "beaucoup de ridicule".
